About a Girl The narrative of about a girl center's around a young girl living in a poor area of England, with dreams of becoming a pop star and living big in London, they show a massive contrast from her dreams and her real life scenario. During act one the structure consists of the girl walking down a canal, followed by cutaways that interlude the scene while also serving as a visual representation of the stories that she is telling us. As the film continues we see how her situation in life is very sad as she is living in a poor separated family and doesn't get much attention from either her mother or father. However this is contrasted with her happy delivery and her northern accent that makes it seem that she doesn't care about how she is living. The actresses deliver is also used to show how she is from a more poor background due to her accent and the stigma the northern part of England gets.
